August Health Challenge – Manage Your Stress

The definition of stress is feeling tension or overwhelming strain when you have more to handle than you are used to on a daily basis. Everyone experiences stress at one point or another, and some stress is normal. Many factors can be identified as stressors, including work, school, finances, health, family and friends, personal obligations and other commitments. Stress is different for each person. One person’s stress is another person’s stimulation and excitement.


Knowing what triggers your stress and how to deal with it can be the difference between stress-induced symptoms of illness and successful stress management. This month we encourage you to keep a weekly stress diary to monitor your stress and set goals to reduce stress.
